The first 5 days there will be moderate redness, swelling and bruising.

Apply a cold compress for no more than 15 minutes at a time to reduce swelling.

During the initial healing period, there should be minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin. If there is scabbing or flaking, do not pick! Always allow the scab or dry skin to come off naturally.

Once the healing process is complete expect the Lip Blushing color to eventually lighten by up to 40%.

Be patient! Lip Blushing color may appear uneven at different stages of healing.

Lip Blushing results should last between 2-5 years and will always vary from person to person. Additional touch ups may be required depending on the person and look desired.

The Lip Blushing consultation, prep work and procedure, takes around 2 hours. During the consultation Megan will discussed your desired lip and will drawn out a shape. Once the lip shape is agreed upon, Megan will then start the Lip Blushing procedure. The lip numbing cream will then be applied for 20-30 mins then Megan will start the process.

You are a smoker.

You have psoriasis in the treatment area.

You have an auto-immune disease.

You have thyroid/graves disease.

You have anemia.

You have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring.

You are currently undergoing chemotherapy.

You are pregnant or nursing.

You have Diabetes type 1 or 2.

You are prone to cold sores.

Around 10-14 days for the superficial layers of skin to close and heal. The deeper dermal layers of skin take up to 6-8 weeks to fully heal.

The initial 3-5 days will appear dark as scabs form, light peeling will start around day 4 or 5 revealing much lighter and softer color.
